The Big OH! blog

Ohio's blog for sexual politics

Well, folks, it happened. Sunday night, surrounded by a group of men, Governor Kasich signed into law the new state budget and left in the numerous attacks on women’s health. There was no explanation or opportunity to ask questions, as the Governor swiftly walked away after condemning Ohioans to some of the harshest restrictions to women’s health care in the country.

He left in a provision that says public hospitals cannot have transfer agreements with abortion providers. He left in mandatory ultrasounds. And he left in an amendment that directs family planning funding away from family planning providers.
Ohioans want doctors and medical experts to make medical decisions and set health regulations, not a group of men who don’t trust women. Tell him that we’ve had enough of his policies:http://bit.ly/Worst4Women
